Allied Waste & Idaho.....the final countdown.

A couple of weeks ago we traveled up to Boise to find a place to live. We had a list of apartments and felt like we were all ready to search it out. Luckily I have awesome aunts and uncles who had already scoped things out for us. My aunt Mari sent us a couple of places to look at, one was a great little condo in Eagle just north of Boise. After we looked there we went to what seemed like apartment after apartment.....we kept comparing them to the condo and nothing really seemed to work out like the condo deal. So our new home will be in Eagle, Idaho. On our way back to Plain City I had Austin go to the condo and then pretend like he'd be driving to work so we would know how long it would take. It's only eight miles....which will be a much shorter commute than either of us have had in a long time (driving to Salt Lake gets old real fast!).

Thanks to Ken & Mari and Rick & Sherri for letting us stay with you, for the amazing food, fun games and great conversation while we were up there. We had a blast with you guys and are so excited.....hopefully you wont get sick of us anytime soon.

Piano Lessons

A couple of weeks ago I was at Jordie and Steve's practicing the piano for the ward Christmas party later that night....the primary had a little program and I needed to run through the songs. Deacon woke up from his nap and wanted to sit on my lap.....so we practiced together. He even plunked some keys. Very fun!

Sadly the piano my parents gave me for graduation will have to stay in Utah. It is way to big and heavy to take with us to Idaho. Austin is positive Matt is the only one who can help him move it....and it gives me anxiety every time they do....either the piano is going to break or one of them is going to break their backs. Thanks for moving it several times all ready Matt!
Thanks to Jordie and Steve it will just stay at their house for now.

Reunion

A couple of weeks ago Jordie and I went to lunch with "the girls". We hadn't seen each other for a long time and it was lots of fun to finally get together. Every time we talk we always say we all need to get together. Thanks to Lindsey it finally happened. I wish Jessica and her cute little Hadley could have been there, but it was fun to eat, talk and catch up.

I am so excited to see Hallie next week! It is really hard living so far away from my sisters, and it's going to get even harder when we move to Boise, especially after Whit has her next little one. So needless to say we are excited to see Hallie!

Happy Birthday Austin....2 months late

We Love Weber State Football!

This past football season Grandpa Green and Denise gave us some of their tickets up in the box for a Weber State football game.

It was a lot of fun. Austin got a little bit nostalgic when he realized most of the seniors playing all started out with him when he was playing a couple of years ago.

Thanks Denise and Grandpa....we had a blast.

22 days 'til another Montana Christmas

It's time to head to Montana for Christmas again. It's going to be so much more fun this time with the new additions of Tyler, Deacon and Hallie. Also, we just found out Aaron's brother Curtis might also be coming. My parents cabin will be at full capacity for sure. But it will be awesome. Austin and I are going to head up early since we will be moving to Boise the week after Christmas. I am so excited for the 22nd. The drive will be long, but hopefully we can have great driving weather and maybe a good book on CD or something. Last time I suggested a book on CD Austin wanted to know why we couldn't just talk. So we didn't take one, however 8 hours is a long conversation and I ended up reading a book anyways. Waiting for the "okay" to open presents. Ever since I can remember we've had to sit on the stairs, drink a glass of juice and wait until we got the okay from Mom and Dad....apparently it's no different when everyone is old and married. And apparently I take less time getting ready on Christmas morning now that I am married.....scary I should have sat at the top.

Nieces and Nephews.....good daddy training

I'm pretty positive Austin is going to make a great dad one day.....hopefully sooner than later. After watching him for 3 years with his nieces and nephews and then in the past year with mine I know he'll be a good and fun dad.

Here he is playing tag with the Jenkins' grandkids. He even let Kaycee help him tag the bigger kids. She was laughing and giggling the whole time. Check out James' face in the first picture.... love it!

It took a while for their relationship to blossom because Austin is afraid of small infants, but Deacon now loves Austin. Sometimes he'll go straight to him as soon as he walks in the room.

Austin and Hallie have a funny relationship.....mostly they just have staring contests, it's a toss up with the winner. Which ever one gets board faster I guess. But he is very cute with her as well.

I am so grateful for my super hottie husband and am excited to have our own little family one day.

We'd like to announce we will be starting a new adventure. As of January 1, 2010 we will be come residents of.......

Well I guess not residents until we're there long enough to establish residency. But none the less we will be living in the Boise, Idaho area. We are excited to be able to change things up a bit. The scenery will definitely be different, but it should be fun. A lot of people have asked us if we will be closer to my parents. Sadly the drive is three to four hours longer than it is from Utah. Only because there is no straight shot from Boise to Billings.....you either have to go up and over or down and over. Thus the 8-9 hour drive turns into 12-13. The drive back and forth from Plain City is going to be cake compared to the Billings drive. We're just glad on of our sets of parents will live fairly close.

One of the saddest parts for me is that I won't have any of my little sisters close at all. At one point Jordie, Whit and I were all within 20 minutes of each other. Now we will all be spread out. 5 Sisters 4 states. Never how I imagined it would be. But we really all continue to get closer, even though spatially we get farther and farther apart.

Anyways, just want anyone to let us know if you'll need any of these......

We'll see what we can do.

Fire - October 17, 2009

Who doesn't love a campfire in the fall?

It was so much fun just living down the street from the Sessions family. We loved hanging out with them all the time....a lot of times doing nothing in particular. Jordie and I would talk and play with Deacon while Steven and Austin would make fun of each other. Thanks guys for being so awesome and fun all the time. I think Jordie and I were able to get even closer and become better friends since we were the lone Green Girls in Utah (not that we weren't great friends before.....we're sisters for crying out loud). We will definitely miss hanging out when we're in Boise.

A while back Deacon started making this sniffing noise and making this hilarious face. What a fun personality he has!

Here's a picture of my stud of a husband. Love him! He had just finished chopping up some wood for us. Something that actually became one of his favorite past times. Weird I know, but he actually said he was going to miss it this winter.

The Black Eye.....Be careful what you wish for.

The funny thing is growing up I always wanted a black eye for some bizarre reason. I even remember walking hard into the corner of the wall once trying to give myself one (I no longer participate in self-destructive behavior).

You gotta love indoor soccer right? I got this black eye and a bruised rib from a 40 year old Sunday School teacher/Goalie from Hooper. I was following the ball up and he picked up the ball and managed to elbow me in the ribs and follow up with my face. It looked so bad the next day the ladies at Parsons sent me from work to the doctor's office as soon as they saw me. Basically my eye was so swollen I couldn't see. I have the day after pictures somewhere. I'll have to add them someday.

The time line is dedicated to my cute dad. He wanted me to take pictures so we could see the entire thing start to finish. He even had me email some of the pictures to him at work so he could show people....Ahh the proud moments of a father.

Steve took this picture a couple of ours after. I was thinking no big deal a little ice and Ibuprofen ...take the swelling down and I'd be good to go right?

A couple of hours later the swelling was getting a little out of control. So I decided I would have to sleep with ice on my face. I found a bandana and tied a frozen baggie to my face and went to sleep expecting things to look better in the morning.

This was the outcome.....apparently an overnight icing took little effect. This is what I looked like at work the next morning. When one of the ladies saw me they told me I was excused until I saw a doctor. I called my dad and he met me close to work and called my mom to meet us at the doctors office. He took these pictures before we went inside.

It was really interesting how the blood distributed on the inside corner of my eye and the outside corner of my eyelid. But at least the swelling was coming down.
The variety of colors was pretty great.
My mom was nervous I'd have a black eye for Jordie and Steve's wedding. This picture was taken at her last dress fitting. Luckily it cleared up just in time.These pictures are towards the end...I can now say it's not the funnest thing to have a monstrous black eye.....be careful what you wish for!
