Ginger Bread Trains

We had an unofficial gingerbread train contest. My dad set the timer and away we went.
All the goods.

Emma's train. She actually took time to landscape hers as well. Way to go Em!
The Hanson's train.
The Vickery's train. It may be hard to see in the picture, but Aaron broke some small candy canes to make longhorns for the front of their train. I thought it was a very fun and creative idea.
The Sessions' train. I won't lie....I did watch some of the things they were doing and stole some ideas for our train.
The Jenkins' train.
This is what Grandma Jo was busy doing while all of us were making trains. She doesn't look to bugged though.
After we were all finished mom and dad sent everyone out of the kitchen so they could judge. Dad took the responsibility very seriously. I can't remember some of the awards given out. But I know they were pretty funny.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Hallie eating some Christmas Eve dinner with Grandma Jo.
I just love doing little girls' hair. Luckily I have nieces on both sides of families. However, this is unlucky for Hallie since she is the lone granddaughter in the Green family. She is really good though and let me put some darling pony tails in her hair. I almost like the post pony hair better.
As big as mom and dad's dining room table is we still have to add some extra chairs and stools.
Yummy food! Shrimp, ribs, home made hot wings and more. Delish!
Sitting down to eat.

Montana Christmas

The drive to Montana went by surprisingly fast this time. We talked and listened to part of a book. I only fell asleep once for about 20 minutes....but it was actually a fun drive for us.

One of the very first things Steve wanted to do once he and Jordie arrived was hold an arm wrestling tournament.

I don't know if Hallie wanted in on the fun or was going to distract Tyler to help her dad out.....however no worries, someone grabbed her before she got right in the middle of things.
Austin & Steve

For some odd reason Steve was still "all smiles" even towards the end of the matches.

Pre-Christmas Presents

Austin and I wanted to have our Christmas presents opened before we went to Montana so we didn't have to haul everything up and then back down. So we each opened a present for a couple of nights before we left. It isn't as fun as opening everything on Christmas morning, but it was still fun. There were a couple of gifts I was nervous about getting for Austin.....I didn't know if he'd approve. Plus he is actually good at guessing and I'm a terrible liar and am not very good at tricking him out of things he's guessed. But I think we both did a great job this year with surprising one another and both of us were really excited about the gifts we'd gotten for each other.

Green Family Christmas Party 2009

We had our annual Christmas party over at Grandpa and Denise's. It was so much fun. It's always fun to spend time with everybody and eat yummy food. They always put on a great party.

California 2009

For Christmas 2008 Scott and Becky gave everyone a trip to California. We were all so excited. We left at 3:00 in the morning and started driving. First we went to San Diego and went to the Zoo. We had a great day and all the kids were able to feed a giraffe. Next we went to Sea World. After Sea World we left and went strait to Anaheim. The next day we relaxed, went to the pool, shopping, and some of the group went to the beach. That night we went to Midievil Times had a blast and spent the rest of our time we spent in Disneyland. I meant to have all the posts in order, but messed that up. The trip was so much fun and we are so grateful to Scott and Becky for taking us all. It was so much fun to spend time together as a family.

I was sitting by Breanne. She was so cute! Right at first she got very nervous and climbed under the table.....but with some coaxing from Devin she came back up and had a great time.
