Sea World

Sea World was so much fun. We went to several shows. The dolphin show as super fun, the kids wanted to sit in the splash zone. So Austin and I and Scott and Becky sat up higher while everyone else sat in the splash zone. During the Shamu show, which is always awesome, Austin and I sat higher by ourselves while everyone else sat down lower. I guess I'm a little bit of a party pooper because I was the one who didn't want to get wet. But it's never fun walking around an amusement park all day soaking wet.
Austin was absolutely in love with the sting rays. He bought several packs of fish to feed them. He said feeding the sting rays was his favorite part of Sea World.

It was fun to watch the kids. Some of them wanted to try feeding the sting rays....but some of them had no interest.

Owen & Me.
I finally got the guts to feed one. It was the weirdest feeling ever.
Austin was completely amazed by the whales. We stood at the tank and watched for the longest time.
It's amazing how big these whales really are. The pictures don't even do justice.
I found it so funny that the seal looked over right as I took the picture. The seals were hilarious....and loud. If it looked like you were going to throw them fish they went crazy.

The whole crew.

Disneyland......

We had so much fun in Disneyland! Some of the rides we went on together as a huge group and sometimes we split up.....but it was so much fun! Thanks!

Inside Splash Mountain. I'm not really sure why the girl behind Scott wanted to be in the picture.....but at least she's smiling!

We spent quite a while in Toon Town....we had to wait quite a while to get a picture with Mickey but it was worth it. How can you go to Disneyland and not take a picture with Mickey Mouse?

Pluto, Kelli, Cameron & Erik
Austin, Hannah & Cameron
In all the times I've been to Disneyland I've never been able to ride the Matterhorn....it's always been broken down. So I was so excited to finally get to ride it. Check out Austin's face......
I think I was getting on Austin's nerves.....I took pictures the whole entire ride.
We had to take these pictures in front of the Buzz Lightyear ride because it is my dad's favorite ride in Disneyland. The first time Jordie and I rode it with him he got so caught up in shooting all the targets he had us stop shooting so he could concentrate. It is a super fun ride!

California Adverture
In front of the castle.....even though you can't see it very well.

Disneyland is still one of my most favorite places on earth!

Character Breakfast

Our morning with the Characters was great! It was so much fun to watch the kids....and adults. Some of the younger kids were a little bit nervous at first, but they warmed up pretty quick. It was so much fun!

San Diego Zoo

First stop on our trip was the San Diego Zoo. It was a lot of fun, and neither Austin or I had been to the zoo in years. I'm not sure why we didn't take more pictures than we did.

At the zoo you can feed the giraffes....so here are some pictures of some of the kids feeding the giraffes.

Jolene & Breanne
We took this picture on the sky ride across the park. I was incredibly nervous because I'm so afraid of heights. Austin kept teasing me because I kept telling him to hold still. We had a ton of fun at the zoo!

Good news everybody....a movie trailer just came on tv about valentines day movie coming out. My cute husband just asked if Valentines was on the 12th. I said no. His next guess was the 3rd.

Wish me luck!

Christmas 2008

I decided before I put the pictures from Christmas 2009 I needed to add Christmas 2008....then I found out I don't have any pictures from Christmas 2008. Kind of sad. So instead I decided I would document one of our amazing Christmas gifts from 2008 since I hadn't already. So the Jenkins family California trip will be my next undertaking.

Stake Conference

Today we went to Stake Conference....It was very good. The main message I kept getting involved families and being sealed together forever. Uncle Rick (President Tanner) spoke and did such an awesome job. He told several stories I had never heard. One in particular was very sweet. He talked about his mother....my cute grandma tanner and what an amazing mother she is. He specifically remembered being small (about 4 years) playing outside with a toy he was extremely excited about. He said grandma came out and sat with him. He said she wasn't reading a book or magazine, talking on the phone, writing things down, or listening to music....she was just outside with him. That really touched me. Austin and I talked during (just for a quick second) and afterwards about how we wished Grandma and Grandpa Tanner could have been there. I am so grateful for all those we have in our lives who are such amazing examples.

Elder Natress was the concluding speaker. He told a particular story that I thought was awesome. He talked about his mother reading the Book of Mormon to him and his siblings every day. One day as a teenager he said to her, "You know I'm not listening to you." He said she stopped and told him that Marion G. Romney had once said if you read to your children from the Book of Mormon every day you will not lose them. Then his mother said to him, "I'm not going to lose you."

We are so grateful for so many awesome examples of motherhood and fatherhood in our lives....and can't wait to have an eternal family of our own.

Well today is our tenth day in Idaho. It's been different and weird to get used to a new city. Austin has had an interesting time getting used to a new work environment, but has enjoyed everything so far and even spent 50 hours last week on a hand throw garbage truck picking up garbage and Christmas trees. So far this week he has been in the office which has been fun for me since I have been able to take him lunch everyday. Nothing glamorous and we just sit in the car in the parking lot and eat, but it definitely breaks up my days. Also I can honestly say for the first time in our marriage I have been super on top of laundry, dishes, cleaning and organizing. Since I don't have really anything to do I just keep cleaning things. I think I have done at least one load of laundry everyday since we've been here (even if the load I put in wouldn't really constitute as a load). We just figured out our internet yesterday and so now I can at least check my email from home. I will get some pictures of our apartment soon, I know my sisters want to know what our condo looks like....We love and miss everyone!
