I have a fabulous husband.....

A couple of weeks ago I was having a really bad day. As I was sitting at home feeling crappy I saw someone pass the windows. I didn't know who it was, but was not in the mood to talk to anyone. I knew our doorbell didn't work and just wanted to pretend no one was home. However curiosity got the best of me and I couldn't not see who was there....so I quietly walked over to the door to peek out the peep hole....I wanted to see who it was at least. Right as I got to the door the person knocked. I looked out and there was a lady with flowers. I opened the door to find this beautiful bouquet with a note from Austin saying, "Just to brighten your day. I love you and hope you have a good day."

I was really glad I decided to peek out and see who was there.

I have a super sweet husband and am so grateful for him!

Best Buds

Austin and Matt have been best buds pretty much forever, especially since their birthdays are a week apart. They pretty much did everything together from playing peewee football and soccer to hitting cop cars with water balloons. Yesterday Matt sent Austin this picture. Austin laughed pretty hard and then started reminiscing. He talks about Matt all the time and things they used to do together growing up. I know that he truly loves Matt like a brother.

Plus the picture was too cute not to put up.

New Job

So I've been casually looking for a job since we moved up here. I didn't necessarily need a job right away, so I wasn't super worried when nothing happened right away. Plus the economy up here is way worse than Utah, so I haven't been expecting a whole lot of response to my resume. However yesterday I got a phone call from a lady in our ward who owns a preschool in Star, a town about 15 minutes down the road. Our very first Sunday here the gal teaching the relief society lesson had everyone in the room stand up and tell three things about themselves. One of the things I said about myself was that I had recently graduated with a degree in Early Childhood. She remembered I had said that and told me she was looking for a full time teacher for her Kindergarten classroom. I went in and met with her today.....she didn't even ask me any interview questions, just offered me a job. So after talking with Austin we decided why not.

So starting next Tuesday (February 16th) I have a 9-6 job.

First Visitors

My mom and dad came down to visit us the last week in January. We had so much fun just hanging out. That Thursday we decided to go to see Invictus. My mom and I thought it was great. Austin and my dad thought it was a little bit slow....go figure.

We didn't buy any treats at the snack bar and snuck some sliced apples and waters in instead, so we took some pictures in front of the snack bar.

It was a great time for them to visit. Grandma and Grandpa Tanner were also in town for Jake's court of Honor. So we got to go with them to that (Austin got to sit in the Eagles nest. My mom and I were confused with that concept and my mom actually thought they'd be sitting in a nest). After the court of honor Austin and my dad went over to the high school basket ball game while my mom, grandma, grandpa and I went over to visit Rick and Sherri. It was Cole's birthday and luckily Kristie and Tom were in town. We got to visit with everybody and eat Sherri's super yummy cinnamon rolls.

Thanks for coming to visit mom and dad! We had a ton of fun!

Movie Night

After moving to Idaho Austin and I weren't really sure what to do. We were unfamiliar with our new area....there are no street numbers, everything just has names. It's been a little bit weird to get used to. So we started renting a lot of movies. The second Friday we were up here we decided to go to see Blindside. We were used to theaters in Ogden and weren't expecting to have to wait in a long line to buy our tickets. So we ended up missing the show, but went to see Sherlock Holmes instead. We both really liked it. When it was over I asked Austin what time it was.....he told me it was 9:00. I told him if we wanted we could still see 2012 since it started at nine. So while I ran to the ladies room Austin went back to the ticket line.....I'm embarrassed to say we spent 6 hours straight at the movie theater. We decided we needed to document our moving going experience and took this picture afterwards.

A couple weeks later we went and saw Blindside (loved it!). Afterwords we figured out we'd been the same amount of movies in January of 2010 than we had the entire year of 2009.

Home Sweet Home.....Eagle, Idaho

We are living in a great little condo in Eagle, Idaho. It's just right for us with 2 bedrooms 1 1/2 bath. It's in a little quite neighborhood just down from downtown Eagle. There are cute little shops and restaurants just a block or two down the street. We live a block and a half away from the gym we signed a membership for and have loved living here so far.

Family room area.
Master Bath

Master Bedroom
Guest room/Office
Laundry Room
Kitchen
It's for sure the smallest of the 5 places we've lived in since we were married. But we love it.... it's super cozy and just right for us.

Feel free to visit anytime!

Jenkins' Wii Game Night

Before we left for Idaho Erik and Kelli invited us over for a fun night. We picked up some Wingers to go and headed over to their house. The plan was to eat hang out and watch a movie. However we got a little carried away with the new Wii and just ended up playing games. But it was a super fun night.

Happy 1st Birthday Hallie

Hallie's birthay is the 28th. Whit and Aaron decided to celebrate it a couple of days early since we were all together. Whit did such a cute job decorating the cake.
Pre-cake....all clean.
Hallie's grandma and grandpa Vickery are serving a mission in Puerto Rico. Whit and Aaron set up skype on their computer so they could watch Hallie eat her cake. Her reaction when she could see them on the screen was so cute. She just kept reaching for them, waving and talking.
Yummy cake.
